Terms of Use

The deal, in plain English.

Last updated 2026-05-31. If you use Rubric, these terms apply.

1. Who we are and what Rubric does

Rubric is operated by Neoforge Ventures, a business based in Hyderabad, India ("Rubric", "we", "us"). Throughout this document, references to "we", "us", and "Rubric" mean Neoforge Ventures.

Rubric is a tool that grades the prompting craft in a chat session against a fixed 6-dimension rubric, returns a 0–100 score, picks an archetype, and (optionally) generates rewrites of weak turns. We do not give legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. We grade prompts, not outcomes.

2. Acceptable use

  • Score sessions you have the right to score (your own, or sessions you have permission to use).
  • Don't try to circumvent rate limits, abuse the API, or scrape the service at scale.
  • Don't upload content that's illegal where you are or where we operate (India).
  • Don't use Rubric to score sessions that contain CSAM, doxxing material, or other content that violates our hosting providers' ToS. We'll suspend the account and report where required.

3. Your content

  • You own your prompts. Uploading them to Rubric does not transfer ownership.
  • You grant us a limited license to process them (store, render, send to model providers for scoring, generate share cards) for as long as you keep the account active.
  • When you delete your data, that license ends.

4. Premium subscription

Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks unlimited analyses and rewrites. Pricing is shown on the pricing page. You can cancel any time from your billing portal; after cancellation, Premium access stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds. We offer a 14-day refund window on every Premium purchase. Full terms are in our refund policy.

Payment processor. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who acts as the merchant of record for Rubric. Paddle's terms apply to the payment transaction itself; your contract for the underlying service remains with Neoforge Ventures.

We may change Premium pricing or features. We'll notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before any pricing change takes effect.

5. Service availability

  • Rubric is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uptime, scoring accuracy, or that any particular feature will stay available.
  • The scoring is opinionated, not authoritative. A 39 means our rubric thinks the session is weak, not that you are.
  • We may take the service down for maintenance with little notice.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Rubric is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at what you've paid us in the last 12 months (which is $0.00 for free users).

7. Termination

You can stop using Rubric anytime and ask us to wipe your data (hello@rubric.chat). We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; we'll explain why if we do.

8. Changes

If we change these terms materially, we'll update the date at the top and notify signed-in users by email. Continuing to use Rubric after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, where Neoforge Ventures is based. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
